    Information / Baghdad..
Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki, said today, Sunday, that the parliament is likely to extend its legislative term for one month, while stressing that there are important legislations that must be passed in the House of Representatives.
Al-Maliki told Al-Maalouma Agency, "Parliament is heading tomorrow to vote on extending its work for 30 days in order to vote on important laws."
He added, "There are a number of laws and proposals, including the Right to Information Law and the Right to Demonstrate and Peaceful Assembly Law."
He explained that "Parliament will vote tomorrow on extending the legislative session for one month until the laws are approved."
He pointed out that "according to Constitutional Article 58, the legislative term of the House of Representatives' session can be extended for a period of up to 30 days only to complete the laws." End /25H
