    Transport Minister Baqer al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of investment and co-operation activation; for the implementation of projects of the ministry in the field of railways and transport of passengers and delegations, road transport, private and implementation of transport projects, pointing out that all who stand in general this approach it is held accountable in accordance with the principle of administrative and financial corruption. 

    A statement by the Ministry of Transport said, "Transport Minister met the technical dealer and general managers in the formations of the ministry and in the presence of the Inspector General, and discussed with him the most prominent obstacles to work and actions taken to overcome them and achieve the flexibility to work in order to activate the performance of these companies; to achieve profits and increased financial resources and cut costs."

    He stressed the need to involve the private sector to actively support the transportation projects, especially Taxi Baghdad, Basra and river taxi. He called to attract investors with financial efficiency sober and experience in the implementation of transportation projects. He stressed the need to identify a new mechanism and controls to determine the freight in accordance with the definitions applicable.

    On the other hand Zubaidi called on all general managers in the ministry to expedite the resolution of issue of the establishment of housing complexes to the staff of the ministry in coordination with the Supreme Committee for housing in the ministry headed by al-Zubaidi, in order to contribute to solving the housing problem, and provide job opportunities and to achieve significant revenue for the state
