Considered a foreign newspaper and having the popular crowd forces as a military force fighting undermine US strategies to promote its interests in Iraq
The Washington Post newspaper that the popular crowd began a rapid solution in place of the Iraqi army, which suffers exhaustion and that its numbers have fallen to about eight and forty thousand troops since the defeat of government forces in Mosul, north of the country last summer
The newspaper quoted Michael Knights of the Washington Institute for Near East Studies as saying that Haider al-Abadi welcomed the American help, but the Shiite groups are not interested in having Americans there
He asked Knights Will we see attempts by to expel us from the country's Shiite forces completely, noting that the US military leadership is thinking deeply to send ground troops to assist in launching an attack to regain control of Mosul and the Iraqi government has already begun to ask questions about the real need for American help.
