Extract human rights Ministry 536 remains in Basra victims of the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s.

An
official said the Ministry "features & Centre for the Iraqi media
network": human rights Minister Mohammed sheyaa Sudan yesterday headed a
meeting of the Ministerial Committee on prisoners and missing Iraqis
and Iranians, adding that the meeting reviewed the work of the survey
and drilling with the Iranian side during the past year which included 6
excavations in area a, and a maddening and three acts of alleged burial
sites poll in Umm al-Rasas area in the Shatt al-Arab and crazy
walshlamgh fields.

The excavation yielded extract 532 remains of
victims of the Iran-Iraq war by 348 remains belonging to the Iraqi
military and 188 remains belonging to the Iranian military, pointing out
that the Iraqi Government last year handed over Iranian side 201
remains of Iranian soldiers, received 53 remains belonging to the Iraqi
military.

The Sudanese said the source quoted by the difference
of the Ministry and the rest of the members of the Ministerial Committee
made special efforts during the past period in excavations being
conducted under harsh climatic conditions with the task forces for the
risk of unexploded bombs explosion, stressing that the Ministry will
continue the implementation of the action plan for the current year
through to search for remains in the sites that have been cleared of
mines and unexploded bombs and intensify efforts to complete the
clearance.

The source pointed out that the Ministerial Committee
on prisoners and missing Iraqis and Iranians is studying a proposal by
the Iraqi side to enter the Iranian engineering group to support the
engineering effort in border areas periodically each day to work in
specific locations.
