    Oil Company announced the UAE Crescent, specialized oil and gas production, it is seeking to expand its activities in Iraq to include the gas sector in the fields of Basra, in addition to its presence in the Kurdistan region of fields, indicating that there is a potential investment opportunities in the country can be achieved. 
    Said Majid Jafar, executive director of the company, the transfer site 's remarks (The Oil and Gas Goodyear) specialist energy affairs and followed up (range Press), " The company is seeking to invest in other oil projects in Iraq, and it will focus on gas undiscovered resources in the country . " . 
    Jaafar said that " the company will seek to develop its activities to include the gas sector in the fields of Basra in addition to its presence in the Kurdistan region of fields." 
    Director of the company said that "what we are seeing in Iraq is that there are investment opportunities lurk in other parts of the country can achieve more than what we have achieved so far." 
    The company is currently producing approximately 26 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in the Kurdistan region, through a coalition with Dana Gas Company operating in the region, and is considering expanding its investment to include the fields of southern Iraq as well. 
    In October 2016, the Iraqi Oil Ministry included the UAE 's Crescent Petroleum 's name in the 19 companies qualified to bid for projects to develop small and medium several oil fields will hopefully put in the middle of the current year 2017.
