Abadi and Jabouri discuss strengthening the work of the legislative and executive branches
BAGHDAD - Iraq's Prime Minister Salim al-Jubouri discussed with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi the work of the legislative and executive branches.
"The two parties discussed the latest political and security developments, the developments in the battle of Mosul and the elimination of terrorism, and means of coordination and cooperation between the legislative and executive branches," the statement said.
"The two sides stressed the importance of supporting all efforts aimed at achieving stability and taking the necessary measures to strengthen the bonds of trust and joint building under the Iraqi constitution tent to build a strong and sovereign state."
On the international level, "the Speaker of the Parliament and the Prime Minister agreed on the importance of opening new horizons of cooperation and coordination between Iraq and neighboring countries and other friendly and brotherly countries in a manner that ensures the realization of the interests of Iraq at all levels.
