Federal Court rejects a complaint by Kurdish blocs on the budget of the region

BAGHDAD, July 13 (KUNA) - The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in the Iraqi parliament, Arafat Karam, rejected a complaint filed by four Kurdish blocs in the council on the failure to send Baghdad to the province's share of the general budget for the current year 2017.
Karam said in a statement to the site of his party, that his party demanded from the beginning of the Kurdish blocs not to vote in favor of the budget law because it is not in the interest of the Kurdistan Region.
However, he said that these blocks did not respond to them and when confirmed to them the validity of this filed a complaint to the Federal Court, which rejected today that complaint, which had no result and appeared to be just a political bid, as he put it.
Karam explained that the supplementary budget has now reached the House of Representatives for the purpose of voting on it and approved and returned those blocks to the opinion of the Democratic bloc on it and talking about not voting for it does not contribute to the interests of the region, pointing out that it should not vote on the origin of the general budget, Its rejection means something now.
Karam stressed that the people of Kurdistan know that the mass rejected the vote for the budget and was aware that it is not in the interest of the region, noting that the Federal Court rejected today the request of the four Kurdish blocs (National Union and Change and the Islamic Union and the Islamic Group) in this regard.
