    is hoped that a Saudi delegation headed by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom will soon visit Baghdad to promote joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture and combating desertification.
    The official spokesman of the ministry Hamid Nayef, a special statement for the "morning": That a delegation headed by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli will visit Baghdad in the next few days to confirm the agreements that will be concluded in the field of development of the agricultural sector between the two countries. He pointed out that an Iraqi delegation headed by Agriculture Minister Falah Zaidan recently visited the Kingdom, Desertification and conversion of desert lands along both sides of the border between the two countries to industrial oases or forests through the cultivation of trees and palm groves, especially that desert areas in the country have been increasing and extending to agricultural land for multiple reasons Of which water scarcity and lack of implementation of projects related to land reclamation.
    He added: That the ministry is in the process of signing joint cooperation agreements between the two brotherly countries and exchanging experiences in the agricultural field, especially that the Saudi side has achieved great successes in the implementation of agricultural projects and development of the cultivation of palm trees and the establishment of modern laboratories for packaging and other strategic projects that were developed within the ministry's strategic plan for implementation in the country.
    Nayef pointed out that the ministry seeks to attract global and Arab capital in general and Saudi Arabia in particular and open the way for investors to establish projects in the agricultural sector, both vegetable and animal and transfer of international experiences through the establishment of cattle farms, cattle and poultry fields, especially that the Iraqi government seeks to develop this sector Has been severely damaged over the past few years.
    He stressed that his ministry and within its strategic plan to develop the agricultural sector in the country, both vegetative and animal, is working on the establishment of large projects to promote those sectors vital and important, which affects the lives of all citizens to self-sufficiency of agricultural and animal products.
    The areas of cooperation with Saudi Arabia witnessed a tangible and rapid development after the visit of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to the Kingdom during the holy month of Ramadan at the head of ministerial delegation.
