Central bank sales of foreign currency decreased

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)'s foreign currency sales fell during Sunday's auction to 122.09 million dollars, compared with 125.59 million dollars on Thursday, a decrease of 3.5 million dollars, according to a statement by the Central Bank of Iraq.
The Central Bank, in a statement obtained by "Economy News" a copy of it, the exchange rate amounted to 1182 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 40 banks, and 10 companies for financial transfer.
The bank said in its statement that the sales were the outcome of the auction scheduled for Monday, July 31.
Amounts sold to boost bank balances abroad were $ 120.57 million, while the amount of cash sold was estimated at $ 1.52 million.
The Central Bank, in the statement, that the sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price
