Iranian Ambassador: We support any agreement reached by Baghdad and Erbil

(AFP) - Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Erj Musjedi, on Saturday confirmed Iran's support for any agreement reached by Baghdad and Erbil.
"The Iraqi people are the ones who decide their fate. It is clear that the Islamic Republic of Iran is with the law, the Iraqi constitution and the unity of Iraq, and we support any agreement between Erbil and Baghdad," Masjidi said in a press statement.
"For us, there is no difference between the people of Kirkuk, Basra, Erbil or Mosul, all of whom are dear brothers to us," he added.
"The Kurds in Iraq are among the best friends of the Islamic Republic of Iran throughout history. We send our greetings to all the Kurds and we congratulate them on Eid al-Adha," he said.
