    Parliamentary warns of the danger of passing the personal status law






    A member of the Committee on Women, Family and Childhood, Rezan Sheikh Delir, warned on Thursday of the danger of passing the personal status law and its approval in parliament, pointing out that the law will make Iraq in the last ranks to classify human rights.
    "The political blocs, in agreement with the Presidency, today read for the first time the amendment of the law of personal status is not known, taking advantage of the absence of opponents of this law of the Kurdish blocs because of their withdrawal in protest against the decision to dismiss the governor of Kirkuk," Sheikh Diller said in a statement received by the Journal News.
    Sheikh Delir warned of the danger of passing this law during the next phase in agreement with the Presidency, stressing that the passage of the law will make Iraq in the last ranks in the classification of human rights between countries, as it encourages the marriage of minors and awaited by many patients who encourage such marriages, .
    She called on the republic's presidents, ministers, all organizations involved in the matter, human rights activists, academics, media horsemen and free pens to "raise their voice against passing this law which violates human rights."
