    [ltr]Prime Minister of the Armed Forces, General Haider al-Abadi, thanked the armed forces and the security and intelligence services for the protection of millions of visitors to Karbala.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Abadi is grateful to the armed forces and the security and intelligence services, who continued the night by day and provided the necessary protection to the millions of visitors arriving in the holy city of Karbala on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein," a statement from the prime minister's office said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The success of the security plan to protect millions of visitors is in addition to the victories of our forces against the gangs that support terrorism and liberate all Iraqi territories and cities," Abbadi said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Abadi also praised the efforts exerted by ministries, state institutions and local governments in the provinces and provided them with various humanitarian, health and transportation services. He praised the "commitment of visitors, volunteers and the processions of the regime and their cooperation with the security services.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He also thanked "the holy shrines and Karbala province for their efforts to receive and serve millions of visitors from inside and outside Iraq."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The provinces of Karbala, Najaf, Babil, Dhi Qar and Basrah announced the suspension of the official working hours of 3 to 7 days on the occasion of the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (p).[/ltr]
