     Baghdad / Range

The Nassiriya investigation court on Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle girls from different provinces after the arrest of a gang that lured them to Baghdad.
Judge Abdul Sattar Birqdar, spokesman of the Supreme Judicial Council, said in a statement received by Al-Mada that "extraordinary efforts of the Nasiriyah Court of Inquiry led to the arrest of a gang that deals with trafficking in girls." The gang consisted of five individuals who admitted to luring four girls From different provinces in order to trade them. "
"The defendants were dragging girls to Baghdad under the pretext of marriage through the social networking program (TG)," Berkdar said.
"The court of inquiry has ratified their confessions in accordance with Article 5 / II of the Human Trafficking Law and is referring them to the competent courts," he said.
