BAGHDAD, Jan 31 (KUNA) - The head of the Integrity Commission, Hassan al-Yasiri, described Wednesday the electronic clearing in government banks as "the big bug", while expressing concern about the growing phenomenon of forged instruments.

Al-Yasiri said in a press conference today on the achievements of the Commission for 2017, "The phenomenon of forged instruments weary the body," noting that "the body carries out daily seizure of a forged instrument and figures fictional."

Al-Yasiri called on the Ministry of Finance and Financial Institutions to stand firm in terms of counterfeit instruments and electronic clearing, which is a bogus and a major means of corruption. He added that the Commission also suffers from fraudulent transactions of salaries of members of the provincial councils, which were held by hand.

The Yasiri said that "these matters do not fall within the jurisdiction of the Commission according to its law," pointing out that "some quarters do not cooperate with the Commission in the provision of its powers." Finished
