    Information/Baghdad...
Today, Monday, the representative of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Ola Al-Nashi, called on government agencies to express their opinion on the importance of the Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline project.
Al-Nashi said, in a statement to the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “There is a lack of clarity surrounding the Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline project, and the extent of its importance and economic benefit to Iraq.”
She added, "The government is required to clarify the facts to public opinion and identify the economic feasibility of a project that will cost billions of dollars from the Iraqi state treasury."
The planned oil pipeline from the Basra fields to the port of Aqaba in Jordan has sparked widespread controversy in Iraqi political and economic circles. End/25Q
