The Ministry of Justice announced on Thursday the completion of a report on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
The ministry said in a statement that "this came after the chairmanship of Minister Haider Zamili meeting of the National Committee to write the treaty reports of the conventions to which Iraq joined and respond to the observations and recommendations received from reports on human rights."
She added that "after the ratification of the draft report recommended to the National Committee to be sent to the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for approval before sending them to the relevant committee at the United Nations through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
