The Legal Committee in the House of Representatives on Sunday, an agreement to raise the proposal not to include dual citizenship in the elections, while confirming that the Council will vote only on the proposal to include 20% of the holders of the preparatory certificate in the upcoming elections.
The member of the Committee MP Ibtisam al-Hilali said in a statement to the information that "the political blocs agreed to raise the proposal not to include dual citizenship in the upcoming elections."
Al Hilali added that "a proposal will be presented to include 20% of the holders of the preparatory certificate to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The legal committee discussed last week in the presence of Speaker of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri, the proposal of non-inclusion of dual nationality and 20% of the holders of the preparatory certificate in the upcoming elections and recommended the meeting to be put to vote in one basket.
