The South Korean Foreign Ministry on Wednesday summoned the Chinese ambassador to protest the entry of Chinese warplanes into South Korean airspace in the second such incident this year.
"Chinese planes flew for more than four hours inside the South Korean air defense zone on Tuesday, forcing Seoul to push the fighters to track them," a Korean Defense Ministry official said, according to Reuters.
"The Chinese ambassador was informed that what happened was regrettable and the need to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents, and the Chinese Foreign Ministry did not respond to a request for comment," said a statement from the Foreign Ministry. Ending / 25 g
