Sarhan Sliveni, a member of the Finance Committee of the Iraqi parliament, denied on Tuesday, raising the proportion of the Kurdistan budget in the federal budget.

"The budget of Kurdistan remains 12% and has not risen to 14% as promoted and not accurate," Sliveni said in a statement ahead of a meeting in the Kurdistan parliament on the budget.

Adding that "the placement of a trillion dinars for the Iraqi emergency budget is not fully to Kurdistan, but is limited within the controls of the Iraqi government."

Explaining that "these amounts allocated by the government within the emergency budget and reserves allocated if prices fall, part of them for the staff of the region."

At the same level, a parliamentary source said that "under the new correction, will be allocated 3 trillion dinars instead of 2 trillion dinars for compensation of employees of the Kurdistan Region and members of the popular mobilization."

Stressing that "what he voted in advance and was inadvertently included in the draft project."
