    welcomed the Japanese government, Sunday, welcomes the establishment of the Iraqi parliamentary elections " in a peaceful manner," while expressing the hope that will lead to the formation of a new administration quickly. 

    Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono , in a press statement seen by Alsumaria News, said that " the Government of Japan welcomes the fact that the Iraqi Council of Representatives elections were held peacefully in general , " explaining that " the Japanese government participated represented by the Ambassador of Japan to Iraq , Fumio Iwai in election monitoring activities "He said.
    "The Japanese government hopes that the process of confirming the results of the elections will be conducted in a fair, urgent and peaceful manner and that a new administration will be established quickly," Kono said. "In addition, it strongly hopes that these elections will pave the way for further progress in national reconciliation, Iraq's reconstruction. " 

    All the provinces of Iraq, on Saturday (May 12, 2018) witnessed the start of general elections for the selection of members of the Federal Council of Representatives . 

    On Saturday night, the Electoral Commission announced the "success" of the voting process in Iraq with a participation rate of 44.52%.
