The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth said that Turkey is helping Iran to break sanctions imposed on it by banning the purchase of certain goods and products.
According to the newspaper, Turkey buys electronic equipment from Israel and sells it to the Iranian regime, in violation of international sanctions imposed on the background of the Iranian nuclear file and Tehran's activities in support of terrorism.
The United Nations has opened an investigation into the Turkish role in supporting Iran's prohibited goods and has also asked Israel to open an independent investigation, after discovering that these goods are made in Israel.
In an official letter from the United Nations Secretariat to Israel, the International Organization said that the goods sold by Turkey to Iran were manufactured by the Israeli company Peace Power Capacitors, based in West Jerusalem.
The letter said: "We would be grateful if your government provided us with relevant information."
For its part, the Israeli company denied its knowledge that its products reach Iran.
"We will cooperate with any investigation, we will prove that we have sold our products to a Turkish company, we are not working with hostile countries," Slim Power Capasitors said in a statement.
"Most of our sales are going to Europe and the United States, Turkey is not an enemy country and there is no reason why we should not export it.
It is not the first time that Turkey has circumvented the international sanctions imposed on Iran and is helping to breach them.
For months, the United States has accused Ankara of conspiring to violate sanctions, especially after the case of the Iranian-Iranian gold dealer Reza Darab.
In January, the US authorities asked Turkey to pay a fine of 37.5 billion dollars to punish the bank "Khalk"
