    [ltr]Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Friday congratulated the leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, on the victory of his coalition, "Sason", in the parliamentary elections, held on 12 May.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The official Anatolia news agency reported quoting sources in the Turkish presidency that "the Turkish president offered his congratulations to Sadr on the victory of his coalition in the parliamentary elections," indicating that "the congratulations came in a telephone call gathered the two men, on Friday evening."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The sources said that "Erdogan, expressed his wishes that the result of the elections, the good for all Iraqis, especially after the defeat of the organization" calling "terrorist in the country.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The Turkish president stressed the interest of his country in the unity and solidarity of Iraq, and expressed his wish for the success of the Sadr in the formation of the government."[/ltr]
    [ltr]Erdogan, the Sadr, "received objections from the Turkmen of Iraq, about some of the electoral excesses in the province of Kirkuk," and called for "support for the conduct of investigations and necessary procedures," according to sources.[/ltr]
    [ltr]In turn, Sadr stressed, "work to protect the rights of all components in his country," stressing his "keen to develop relations between the two countries."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Electoral Commission for elections in Iraq, the dawn of Saturday, May 19, 2018, the victory of the bloc, "Suron" led by Muqtada al-Sadr in the parliamentary elections, and obtained 54 seats, came in second place, led by Hadi al-Ameri, winning 47 seats, followed by the victory bloc led Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has won 42 seats.[/ltr]

    The head office of the leader of the Sadrist movement, that Mr. Moqtada al-Sadr received a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

    The office noted that Erdoğan congratulated Sadr on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the victory of the National Alliance of Suron in the first place in the parliamentary elections of 2018, expressing his readiness to cooperate for Iraq.

    For his part, al-Sadr thanked Erdogan for the communication and hoped for good relations with neighboring countries in general and Turkey especially because they have an important role in the region to reach the best hope that all outstanding problems will be solved through dialogue and the interests of the two peoples.
