    BAGHDAD -
The Council of Ministers approved on Tuesday the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee on the violations of the elections, while the President of the Council Haider Abadi said it revealed fraud at some polling stations.
"The committee formed by the prime minister revealed cases of fraud in some polling stations and the commission bears responsibility," Abadi said at his weekly conference attended by Mawazine News.
"The reliance on unchecked bodies in the elections has caused us problems," he said, noting that "the government and integrity are following this issue."
He pointed out that "the Council of Ministers endorsed the conclusions and recommendations of the Higher Ministerial Committee on the violations of the elections, which included counting and manual sorting of at least 5% in all centers and the cancellation of the results of the elections abroad and the displaced to prove violations of fraud and serious and deliberate complicity, according to the results and recommendations of the Committee" .
"The recommendations included that the Council of Ministers directs the intelligence service, the national security apparatus and the intelligence services to the Ministry of Interior to prosecute the manipulators and take legal measures against them according to the law," he said.
"The recommendations include the referral by the Council of Ministers to the Integrity Commission for investigation and the taking of deterrent measures, provided that the report is submitted to the House of Representatives to take whatever it deems appropriate in accordance with paragraph 2 of the recommendations."
He stressed that "as a precautionary measure and serious matters that require the presence of officials of the Electoral Commission from the rank of assistant director-general and above decides that the approval of the Prime Minister must be obtained before traveling outside Iraq."
The Prime Minister announced last month, the formation of a ministerial committee to consider the appeals and violations in the parliamentary elections held on 12 May last.
