(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The head of the ministerial crisis cell committee, Minister of Oil, Jabbar al-Allaibi, revealed an important government decision on foreign workers in the oil companies operating in the country.
"The rate of foreign employment in most of the oil companies operating in Basra amounts to 16 percent and the rest of the Iraqi cadres and staff," he said in a press statement. "The ministry is keen to reduce foreign labor to less than this rate."
He added that "this trend is a consistent approach to the ministry, as recently held a meeting with one of the oil companies for that in exchange for the use of Iraqi expertise," useful that "this does not mean that the end of foreign employment in the country, because of the existence of some necessary joints that need experts and foreign specialists "He said.
On the issue of finding jobs in Basra, al-Luaibi said "the pressure on oil companies and secondary contractors to secure employment opportunities," adding that "providing more than 590 degrees functional for the families of martyrs in the areas of West Qurna and the city north of the province."
It is noteworthy that several provinces in the center and south of the country is witnessing 3 weeks ago angry popular demonstrations demanding the provision of jobs and services
