Baghdad province is preparing projects that will enter the twinning agreement with Bucharest
29/7/2018 12:00 am [rtl] BAGHDAD / Al-Sabah: Baghdad province will prepare a list of projects that will be part of the twinning agreement between Baghdad and Bucharest, while confirmed that it will soon complete the central sewer project in the area of Diyala bridge after the completion rate of 97 percent. The governor of Baghdad, Atwan al-Atwani said in a statement to the "morning" that the province is preparing a list of important projects that will enter the framework of the twinning agreement between Baghdad and the Romanian counterpart (Bucharest), explaining that the projects mentioned, including the transport sector through the implementation of the project (tram) Which connects Baghdad International Airport by Abbas ibn Firnas road, and another road linking Basmaya housing complex in the capital. He added that the Romanian government expressed the readiness of its companies to implement these projects, along with other investment projects, revealing that the province of Baghdad is in an invitation to the Secretariat of Bucharest to visit Baghdad in order to complete the requirements of the twinning agreement between the two capitals, which has been discussed during the past years, The final draft of the Convention will be finalized soon. In a related context, al-Atwani said that the central sewer project in the Diyala bridge area is one of the important strategic projects in the area and nearby areas, indicating that the project had stopped in 2014 because of the financial crisis, but the province coordinated with the Turkish company executing the project to resume work And gave full support to them to achieve its optimal form . He added that the project, which exceeded 97 percent completion rate, will be completed soon, especially after the completion of the work of checking the network, and completion of work stations and lifting water treatment, as well as the installation of all pumps, Oxygen and all heavy water requirements.
