[rtl]The Turkish lira fell against the US dollar on Thursday to a new record low and fell about 3% as the current diplomatic crisis with the United States deepened.[/rtl]
[rtl]The US official told the "Bloomberg" but did not name that the Turkish negotiators refused to pledge to release the US pastor.[/rtl]
[rtl]At the end of the past, a diplomatic crisis erupted between the United States and Turkey as a result of Ankara's refusal to release the American pastor Andrew Branson, who was placed under house arrest following his trial on charges of terrorism and espionage.[/rtl]
[rtl]Turkey has demanded the extradition of Fathullah Kulen, a Turkish preacher and accused of a coup attempt in 2016, for the release of the US pastor.[/rtl]
[rtl]The US administration announced that it  would impose sanctions on the  Ministers of Interior and Justice Turks against the backdrop of the detention of the US pastor.[/rtl]
[rtl]By 9:45 am GMT, the lira fell 2.3 percent to 5.3996 pounds after falling to 5.4487 pounds, the lowest level ever.[/rtl]
[rtl]Since the beginning of the year, the Turkish lira against the dollar has fallen by about 30% in line with the economic problems experienced by the country, such as high inflation without sufficient intervention by the Turkish central bank, increasing the current account deficit, as well as reducing its credit rating by a number of international organizations.[/rtl]
[rtl]The yield on Turkish 10-year bonds jumped 55 points to 18.7%.[/rtl]
