He pointed out that "there are four provinces where the proportion of rural population is higher than urban, the provinces of Salah al-Din and Muthanna by 55% each, and Babil province by 52%, and Diyala province, where the rural population 51%."
Al-Hindawi said that "the capital Baghdad is the least in the proportion of the rural population, which amounted to 13% compared to 87% are urban residents, followed by Sulaymaniyah province by 15% of the rural population and 85% of the urban population, and the third province of Arbil, 17% of the rural population compared to 83% Urban, Basra came fourth among the provinces that recorded the lowest proportion of the rural population, as the proportion of these population 19% compared with 81% are the urban population in the province of Basra.
