- Iranian President Hassan Rowhani announced on Saturday that he had discussed with President Barham Salih the extension of railway lines between the two countries, pointing out that his country seeks to increase the volume of trade exchange with Iraq to 20 billion dollars annually. 

"We discussed cooperation in the field of energy and the extension of railway lines from Shalamjah to Basra," Rowhani told a joint press conference with Barham Salih, head of Barham Salih in Tehran.




"We are seeking to increase the volume of trade exchange with Iraq to 20 billion dollars annually," Rowhani said, pointing out that "the environment file is of great interest and we discussed ways to eliminate dust storms that affect the two countries." 

It is noteworthy that the President of the Republic Barham Salih arrived, Saturday morning, to the Iranian capital Tehran on an official visit.
