- Iraqi President Barham Salih will visit Saudi Arabia on Sunday for talks on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments, a statement from the Iraqi presidency said.

Saleh's visit to Saudi Arabia comes as part of a regional tour in a number of countries, notably Saudi Arabia.

On Saturday, President Barham Salih arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran to meet with his counterpart and senior officials there.

Saleh had just concluded a short visit to Jordan yesterday evening, and visited Kuwait and the UAE before that.

According to the German news agency, the talks of the Iraqi president in the three countries focused on strengthening relations and economic cooperation.

The President of the Republic Barham Salih said on Saturday that the interests of the people in the region come first of all, pointing to the importance of the relationship between Baghdad and Tehran.
