The Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Erj Musjedi, has promised the Iraqi government and people to face "serious consequences" if Baghdad abandons Iranian imports in response to recent US sanctions on Iran.
In a report to Sky News Arab News Agency, Ambassador Masjidi said that his immediate threat to the Iraqi government and people came after President Barham Saleh's visit and threatened Baghdad to face several problems if it decided to abide by US sanctions on his country.
"I will not be limited to Iran alone," he said. Without reference to the report time of authorization.
The Iranian ambassador in Baghdad expressed his country's dismay at the Iraqi president's refusal to deal with Iranian pressure in order to express his position on the US sanctions against Iran during his visit to Tehran.
He called on Iranian companies to allocate more investments in projects that the Iraqi government seeks to attract foreign investment.
He revealed that the Iraqi government is seeking to attract foreign investment to implement 1,200 projects worth 100 billion dollars.
He explained that 79 Iranian companies operating in Iraq to build power plants, refineries, hotels, stadiums and homes worth $ 8 billion.
He also revealed his country's efforts to cancel visas between the two countries, and an agreement has already been with Iraq to establish a permanent exhibition of Iranian goods in Baghdad.
According to economists, Iran's permanent goods exhibition will be the largest Iranian intelligence station in the region, overseeing Iran's encirclement of US sanctions.
They say it would serve as an illegal branch with a commercial cover for the Central Bank of Iran to raise US dollars from the Iraqi market. According to the station.
