The head of the Strategic Planning Committee and follow-up of the government's parliamentary program, Magda Tamimi, allocated about 41 billion dollars from the budget in 2019 to four ministries only.
"The lion's share of the allocations in the budget of 2019 for four ministries is oil, interior, defense and electricity," Tamimi said in a tweet on the social networking site Twitter on Friday.
She added that "48.8 trillion dinars, equivalent to 41.29 billion dollars [allocated to the ministries of the four], accounting for 36.6% of the budget and the rest of the state institutions 63%."
Tamimi had revealed in a previous change, "Iraq will borrow, according to the draft federal budget law for the year 2019, from 21 external bodies, and that the Ministry of Electricity alone will borrow from 15 destinations, 14 of which are external and only one domestic destination."
Tamimi said in the two tweets that the budget is going in the wrong direction.
