Halabousi assured the American ambassador of the importance of developing joint cooperation between the two countries

President of the House of Representatives Mohammad Halboussi stressed on Thursday more cooperation with Washington in all fields. US Ambassador to Baghdad Douglas Silliman stressed his country's commitment to stand with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in the face of economic and security challenges.
The Information Office of Halbusi said that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohammed Halbusi, received today the US ambassador to Baghdad, Douglas Silliman, on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq, pointing out that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] stressed the importance of developing cooperation with Washington, praising the "American security and economic support."
Al-Halabousi called for "more joint cooperation in all fields, contributing to the development and stability of Iraq and the region in general."
For his part, Silliman stressed "the depth of the friendly ties between the two countries," noting "his country's keenness to continue to support the democratic experience in Iraq, and the commitment to stand by him in the face of economic and security challenges."
