The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced on Monday that it was updating the data of 26231 beneficiary families.
"The total number of families with data reached (26231) families in Baghdad and the provinces except for the Kurdistan region of the total (43116) families are required for modernization," Mohsen Tohme Mohsen, Director General of Social Protection Department at the Ministry of Labor, said in a statement received by Mawazine News. .
"These families responded to the invitation to update the data after their smart cards were locked," Mohsen said. "The subsidy was paid to them after days of updating."
He called on all families that did not make a statement to "speed up modernization in order to continue to pay the social welfare pension", pointing out that "the procedure of locking the smart card for beneficiary families of those who did not make a precautionary measure."
Mohsen pointed out that "the amount of salary is in the card, but it is not disbursed until after updating the data," noting that "This helps the ministry to identify the variables that get to the families beneficiary to update the database data and is of importance in the work of the Social Protection.
