[Asharq Al-Awsat] Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi met with his official office, President of Lukoil Vagit Al-Kabirov, and discussed the company's work in Iraq and the opportunities for increasing investments and cooperation.
The Prime Minister stressed that "Iraq cherishes its strategic relations with Russia and in partnership with Lukoil, and we are interested in the advancement of the Iraqi economy and achieve progress in the investment process, pointing to the need of Iraq to build refineries and the provision of oil derivatives and not just export oil.
The head of Lukoil company reviewed the work being done by the company and its investment projects in the field of development of production and extraction in the oil fields and future plans in the light of the need of Iraq, noting that the company discovered oil reserves in the area (10) in Muthanna province, confirming the readiness of the company to meet the requirements of the Iraqi oil sector and to provide expertise And training for Iraqi staff.
