BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
The municipal council of the city of Kut on Wednesday announced the setting of the price of one amp in private generators at 4,000 dinars at the start of the summer season.
According to the semi-official newspaper Al-Sabah, the council's chairman, Mohammad Hammadi, said that his council "decided to set the rate of one amp for female generators from the summer season at 4,000 dinars."
Hammadi added that "the decision was due to the return of power cuts by the end of the holy month," warning owners of civil generators to "contrary to the price because the decision obligates the owners of diesel generators to operate according to a standard schedule for all generators starting from the summer season ( Noon to 5 pm and from 6 pm to 4 pm the following day) alternating with national electricity and may not extinguish the generator more than three days for maintenance.
He warned of "the penalty of cutting the quota of the (gas oil) to all owners of generators in case of violation of the application of this decision," pointing out that "
