    (Baghdad: Al Furat News) Transport Minister Abdullah Luaibi announced on Thursday the start of the super-fast train to coincide with Eid al-Fitr.
    "Transport Minister Abdullah Luaibi announced the operation of the super-fast train on Sunday, the second of June next to coincide with Eid al-Fitr," the ministry's media office said in a statement received by Al-Furat News. 
    "The super train is starting from the central Baghdad station at nine thirty in the night, while it starts from the Basra train station at 12 and 10 minutes at night, and stops at the main stations (Nasiriyah - Samawa - Diwaniyah - Hilla) and will not stop at the substations." 
    He pointed out that "the train has all the advantages of transportation and services required from the amenities and safety and punctuality in addition to the delivery of fast meals within the train service to the citizens."
