Maliki determines negotiations lines: No veto for minorities or self-determination

Shafaq News / Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki has placed conditions on Thursday, some that he have mentioned previously and others new to negotiate with other blocs to form a majority government , which have been some of his political slogans before and after the elections as well.
It seems from Maliki’s logic after the completion of the legislative elections , which took place at the end of last April that he was sure that State of law coalition will win first place among other political blocs in areas with the majority of the Shiite community .
“ In order for Iraq to go where things are in the right direction , the principle of majority rule should be adopted," adding , " This does not mean that it would be better to delete minorities from the negotiation table or to protect them by giving them the right to veto ,” Maliki said in his weekly televised speech , briefed by "Shafaq News”.

"The majority government has two aspects , first depends on principles and the second on completion of projects and government business as soon as possible”.

From the principles set out by al-Maliki is to negotiate with other blocs is "unity and sovereignty of Iraq "

Maliki added that "We must move away from the sectarian approach, rejected militias policy," stressing “the need to adopt a foreign policy according to the interests and joint cooperation and rejection for interference in the country's internal affairs , as Iraq will not interfere with the affairs of other countries also”.

He renewed his call for the need for the enactment of oil and gas law , the need for the formation of the Supreme Council of the oil , the formation of the Federal Council , the Public Service to address what he called as chaotic in appointments , as well as the enactment of parties’ laws , and the application of Article 140 of the Constitution .

Maliki confirmed the development of wealth in Iraq and escalation of revenue and oil imports " in order to be our strong state within centralization and decentralization concept," describing the " federal rule " stipulated in the Constitution as " a requirement to weaken us " by parties he did not identify .
