Smuggling clothes to Iran with 33 billion billion tomans

Shafak News / Reports on Iranian websites indicate that in 2018 there were 33,000 billion tomans smuggling clothes to Iran.
The website "Nude Economy" of the Iranian fundamentalist movement announced today, Sunday, December 15, that the amount of clothes smuggled to Iran is estimated at $ 8.2 billion.
Official statistics indicate that Iran's legal imports of clothing amounted to $ 60 million in 2018.
The vice president of the Iranian Federation for the Production and Export of Textile and Clothing, Bahram Shahriari, had said, last Wednesday, that "the smuggling of clothes last year decreased by only $ 100 million ".
Shahryari added that the efforts of the committee to combat the smuggling of goods and hard currencies to prevent the smuggling of clothes were not "fruitful."
It is noteworthy that the process of smuggling clothes to Iran led to the collapse of a large number of clothing production units in Iran and the transfer of a large number of workers in these units to unemployment.
After this crisis, some producers smuggled clothes from China and Turkey, due to the closure of their production units.
