Kurdish lawmaker: The vote on the election law took place against the will of the street demanding reform

The head of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/51338/%D9%83%D8%AA%D9%84%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B7%D9%86%D9%8A]the National Union Bloc,[/url] Joan Ihsan, said that what happened in yesterday’s session of passing the law and extracting it by force without agreeing, studying, or listening to the street demanding reform and legislating a law that does not reproduce the regime itself, does not allow the domination of authoritarian parties, does not distort the political system, and allows early elections to take place.
She added that the lawmakers' insistence to override the original text that was included to develop the districts to be at the district level is a clear will not to hold early elections because of the technical complications and problems related to the identity of dozens of districts at the level of Iraq as well as the insistence on adopting counting and electronic counting and relying on the electronic card without Biometrics are a clear indication of fraud and forgery of the will of the electorate.
