The KDP bloc affirmed in the parliament on Wednesday that the oil agreement between the center and the region will remain and will be renewed during the current year, describing it as a "concrete" and it cannot be avoided.
The head of the bloc, Vian Sabri, said, "The constitutional context in effect in the event that the budget does not reach the House of Representatives, is that work continues with the budget of last year."
Sabri added, "The conditions that the country has gone through over the past months have caused a legal problem that prevented the Council of Ministers from sending the 2020 budget to parliament."
She showed that "the items of last year's budget are completely clear, and they are continuing to pay the dues of the region, especially the salaries of employees."
Sabri described the oil agreement between the governments of the region and the center as "concrete and strategic", stressing that "the agreement remains and will be renewed during this year in conjunction with the selection of a new prime minister and the preparation of a budget that can prove this agreement." / 29
