Sawyer Alliance bloc expressed Thursday its strong surprise at the repeated abuses by some demonstrators against religious beliefs, symbols and national leaders, calling for the implementation of laws against sedition and social peace threaters.
The bloc confirmed in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, that "the peaceful demonstration of the rights guaranteed constitutionally is a positive reflection of the democratic situation in Iraq, but targeting religious and national beliefs and symbols is a clear and exposed American scheme, especially towards families who are known for their positions rejecting tyranny, injustice and arrogance as a family. The esteemed Al-Sadr has become a target for America and its policies in the region, and it is heartbreaking that this time the tools of abuse are from Iraqis who have been coordinated without national or moral fear with the American wave aiming to drop all religious and national beliefs and symbols in Iraq.
And she warned, "Those whose tongues extend to the Iraqi beliefs, symbols and leaders, to stop such abuses, and the concerned authorities to apply the laws against those who provoke sedition and those who threaten social peace, because they represent a great danger that does not differ from the threat of ISIS."
She added: "Our great hope is for peaceful demonstrators to isolate the impurities that offend their project with various deviant behaviors, and our beliefs will remain rooted in our consciences and our leaders are tall peaks that are not defiled by the mouths of the dwarves and sellers of conscience and those who identify with the American subversive project in Iraq."
