Oil supports health with $ 7 million to tackle Corona

The Oil Ministry announced on Tuesday that it has allocated 7 million dollars to support the Ministry of Health in the face of the outbreak of the Corona virus.
The spokesman for the ministry, Assem Jihad, said in a statement reported by the official news agency "Waaa" and viewed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the oil ministry has provided the Ministry of Health with amounts amounting to 7 million dollars to meet the crisis of Corona in the country after the Minister of Health asked for $ 5 million only." .
Jihad added that "the sums were distributed to rehabilitate three buildings in the sports city in Basra that were designated as hotels to employ them for patients with the virus with $ 2.4 million," noting that "$ 2 million was allocated to support the health sector in Maysan, and also allocate $ 2 million from Social Benefits Fund to support the health sector in Dhi Qar Governorate.
He continued, "An amount of 200 million Iraqi dinars has been allocated to support the health sector in Kirkuk, of which 50 million dinars will be allocated to civil defense."
And the official spokesman stated that "the ministry carried out sterilization and fogging campaigns in all governorates and providing oil derivatives, as well as the success of Al-Wasaf Refineries Company in producing alcoholic gel and providing the Ministry of Health, ministries and departments for the purpose of sterilization."
