Chinese journalist: North Korean leader dead
The journalist close to the Chinese government told her 15 million followers on the Chinese social networking site, Weibo, that the information she had uncovered was provided by Kim Jong Un, supported by a very strong source.
According to the International Business Times, the Chinese journalist's publication has been circulated widely on social media, and a picture purporting to show Kim Jong-un has been circulating dead inside a coffin.
While the newspaper was unable to verify these allegations independently, it indicated that the timing is interesting, as the news comes along with China sending a medical team to North Korea.
Earlier, Reuters quoted 3 people familiar with the situation as saying that China has sent a team to North Korea that includes medical experts to advise on the situation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
There was speculation about Kim's health after his absence from the ceremony marking the birthday of his grandfather, Kim Il-sung, the founder of North Korea, on April 15.[/rtl]
