According to a statement issued by the president of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, upon receiving the delegation of the national coalition represented by Mahmoud al-Mashhadani said in a statement reported for "Shafaq News", that "During the meeting, they discussed the most prominent political and security developments and the ongoing consultations among the political blocs to choose the three presidencies".
"It was stressed on the need to overcome the obstacles and to intensify efforts and constructive dialogues to reach an agreement among the national forces to accelerate the formation of the three presidencies and the completion of the delayed laws , start political , security and comprehensive economic reforms that would contribute in achieving the aspirations of the Iraqi people."
The parliament has failed in its first session yesterday in the selection of the presidency as a prelude to the formation of the next government in a sign of the depth of the differences between the political parties
