Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi recalled, on Tuesday, the 33rd anniversary of the crime of the former regime by bombing the city of Halabja with chemical weapons, stressing that Halabja was a very expensive sacrifice on the altar of liberation.
"Today we remember a painful turn in the history of our people's struggle against tyranny and dictatorship, as the 33rd anniversary of the bombing of Halabja, the martyr in Iraqi Kurdistan [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] with chemical weapons, which killed thousands of civilian victims ," Al-Kazemi said in a statement .
He added, "The bitterness of that tragedy continues to warn us to this day of what a weapon of mass destruction can wreak when it falls in the hands of a tyrant of the earth, and what can be committed in the name of hatred and racism when the brutal regime uses it to justify its dark night of injustice, terror and ugliness."
And he continued, “Halabja was a document and an expensive sacrifice offered by our Kurdish people in particular, just as our Iraqi people in general offered their offerings on the altar of liberation and salvation from the injustice of an arrogant and arrogant ruler who wreaked corruption, murder and vicious and bloody wars.”
Al-Kadhi pointed out, "Today we carry the pain of the memory of the victims in our hearts, but our consolation is that they are pain that reminds us, like the rest of the crimes of the era of tyranny, the price of freedom, the value of survival and crossing Iraq into the era of democracy and the high value of the Iraqi person."
He pointed out that “Halabja reminds us of the depth of wound and the gravity of the prostitute and injustice when it is a tool in the hands of the ruler. Today, however, we are inspired by the sacrifices of the martyrs and the groans of their souls while they are fighting for the sake of building another Iraq, a free, democratic Iraq that cherishes its people and citizens in every inch of its holy land. End / 25
