(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, responded, on Saturday, to a statement by MP Rami Al-Skini about the governorate receiving sums of money estimated at 4 trillion dinars during the era of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi.

Al-Eidani addressed the House of Representatives about the validity of the Senate's statement on the Al-Furat satellite channel, which stipulates that the governorate will receive an amount of 4 trillion Iraqi dinars in 2019, and that one of the contracting companies has been funded by an amount exceeding 2 trillion dinars.
Al-Eidani called on the Presidency of the Council to clarify the matter, stressing that all legal measures will be taken.
