In 2008 Parliament enacted the Accountability and Justice Law that canceled de-Baathification and Coalition Authority Order No. (1).

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi issued a parliamentary order to change the name of the Reconciliation and Tribal Committee to the “De-Baathification” committee.
In 2008 Parliament enacted the Accountability and Justice Law that canceled de-Baathification and Coalition Authority Order No. (1).
