Representative legal affirms the need to expedite the amendment of the election law
Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Legal Committee affirmed the necessity to vote on the amendment of the provincial council elections law by the House of Representatives during the current session.
Representative Almas Fadel, a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, said during a special statement to PUKmedia : The amendment of the provincial council elections law is very necessary because there is a legal, constitutional, administrative and legislative vacuum due to the dissolution of the provincial councils, so it is necessary to fill this void.
She added: There are many problems that the provinces suffer from because of the dissolution of the provincial councils, and there is a lack of follow-up, oversight, and the issuance of some of the necessary decisions and approval of projects.
He explained: The Legal Committee has long since completed preparing the amendment of the provincial council elections law in order to vote on it within the House of Representatives and conduct provincial elections.
She said: We called for the provincial council elections to be held with the House of Representatives elections, but unfortunately we were not able to do that, and now the provincial council elections have become of the utmost necessity.
