, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed, on Tuesday, the details of the tripartite meeting regarding the Baghdad summit.
A ministry statement, a copy of which was received by Mawazine News, stated that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein participated today in the meeting of the tripartite coordination mechanism with the foreign ministers of Egypt Sameh Shoukry and Jordan Ayman Safadi, on the sidelines of the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers held in Doha. To push forward the course of cooperation between the three brotherly countries, and to consult on issues of common concern.
The statement added, "The meeting emphasized the need to advance and develop cooperation and coordination between Baghdad, Cairo and Amman, and work to find more areas of cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly peoples."
He continued, "The participants agreed on the need for continued consultation and coordination of positions towards common challenges and regional developments, especially in Syria and Libya, as well as developments in the Palestinian cause."
And he indicated, "The ministers discussed some issues related to the work of the Arab League, stressing that preparations are underway to hold the next summit meeting between the heads of the three countries in Baghdad." Ended 29/A43
