And Trade Minister Alaa Al-Jubouri told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "what is related to the technical aspect of the ration card is Resolution 160 of the Council of Ministers, which includes converting it into a food basket, and therefore the General Company for Foodstuffs will take over this file, which will include an increase in the number of vocabulary for the articles of paste and legumes." , indicating that "the issue needs funds because the instructions for implementing government contracts indicate that it is not permissible to start contracts without the presence of funding, because there are sums allocated in the budget, where the allocation varies on funding.
He added that "Resolution 160 placed good funding for it, and we are now seeking to invest it to make this issue a success," noting that "there is a plan to schedule time periods, and we are working to bring in financial allocations because it is the main reason for giving the Ministry flexibility to schedule this basket."

He added, "There is a committee formed by the Ministerial Economic Council and another supporting technical committee also formed by the relevant authorities, in addition to the fact that the ministry formed a committee to study the rise in prices with the import rate," noting that "Iraq imports large quantities of goods and therefore their prices rise and this will affect directly in society, but we put the treatments in place for that."
