    Today, Wednesday, the Iraqi Oil Minister, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, set the date for achieving self-sufficiency in gas in the country, while confirming that the price of oil has reached the current rates with the gradual increase in production, a reassuring thing.
    The minister said in a televised interview, "The country will achieve 80% of its gas needs by 2025 as self-sufficiency."
    He added that "Iraq respects and adheres to the determinants of OPEC, although it has imposed challenges on the country's economy," considering that "the arrival of the oil price to the current rates with the gradual increase in production is a reassuring thing."
    He believed that “the current situation is very favorable for producers and consumers,” adding that the recent agreement with “Total” turned into work contracts, and the four contracts related to solar energy with a capacity of one gigawatt, gas collection of 600 million standard cubic feet, and a sea water project to support oil production were signed. and gas, in addition to the development of the Artawi oil field. The administrative structure of these projects is currently being built.
